In a Question and Answer session with Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy and Brand Ambassador, John Heald, new details emerge about the Carnival Rewards Program announced last month.
We captured the entire Fireside Chat with the top executive from Carnival Cruise Line. In it, you’ll find all of the questions and answers about Carnival Rewards. We also learned more about Celebration Key in the informative Q&A discussion. Christine and John also spoke about the new Paradise Collection of destinations for Carnival, the new Carnival Festivale and Tropicale, hinted at the ACE class, and wrapped with a bunch more fun.

Carnival Vista Makes Inaugural Call to Celebration Key
On July 19, 2025, Carnival Vista will be the first ship to ever visit Celebration Key. To celebrate the occasion, Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy and Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald are sailing on board. There have been multiple chances to hear from both of these leaders including the Captain’s Toast.
Having new Carnival Rewards details emerge in Fireside Chat which was just an added bonus!
I booked a cabana for two and was sold it but I informed the rep it was myself, a 14 and 12 yo. She said it should be ok. But I’m nervous and it’s paid for…March 14-19th on the Freedom. I really need answers because I don’t want to get to Celebrate Key and they turn me away. Can you please get a concrete answer for me.
Hey there! Thank you for the question. We spoke with the Cabana Attendants on our visit and the smallest Cabana Rental is for 4 people. As long as the rental isn’t in Calypso Lagoon 18+ (minimum age is 18) or Pearl Cove Beach Club (minimum age is 18), you will be fine with 3 people in a Cabana. Now, if you rented a Day Bed which has a limit of 2 people, the attendants did say that if they saw abuse, it would be enforced. With that said, we did not personally see this on our visit – but it was also opening day and all of the Carnival bigwigs were there, so they may not have wanted to create any issues. We’re back in less than a month and will continue to monitor. With that said, however, if the maximum capacity for the excursion is 2 people, Carnival should NOT have allowed a rental for 3 people. Like you, I would be nervous as it blatantly goes against their own policy and fine print. Keep us posted on what you decide to do. -Mark
Hey Mark…now the cabanas are showing as “up to four people “. Looks like the change the two person to four. That’s wonderful. I look forward to going to Celebration Key now. Nervous nerves gone. Thank you so much.
We just heard about this change ourselves last weekend on our Sail Talk Saturday when one of our viewers mentioned it. Sure enough, I’ve pulled up multiple listings now and they all have capacity of up to four people. This is AMAZING news and one less thing you’ll have to worry about on your cruise. Thanks for making sure we had heard the update. I head back to Celebration Key in just over a week and am excited to see how things are going a month into operation. -Mark
