Come along with us on our Norwegian Prima Ship Tour as we take you from the very top deck, all the way down to the bottom of the ship. In this tour we cover every public space on board, packed with 4K video, photos, and deck plan overlays. Our goal is to help you get your bearings before you ever step foot on the ship.

Norwegian Prima launched in 2022 as the very first ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s new Prima-class. “Be The First” was the marketing tagline, and the brand played this up with PR1MA. At the time, NCL promised she would redefine cruising. Rocky even described the ship as “transformative” for the brand. Blending interior and exterior space, a focus on gorgeous finishes, and more room for passengers, Prima delivered in a big way for the brand.

About Norwegian Prima

Norwegian Prima was built by the Italian shipyard Fincantieri and delivered to Norwegian Cruise Line in July 2022. She’s the first of six ships in NCL’s Prima-class (originally known internally as “Project Leonardo”). The lineup includes sister ship Norwegian Viva (2023) and the larger Prima-Plus subclass ships Norwegian Aqua (2025) and Norwegian Luna (2026). The new “Prima-Plus-Plus” subclass will feature Norwegian Aura and a yet-to-be-named final ship.

• Length: Approximately 965 feet (294–299 m)
• Gross tonnage: 142,500 GT
• Guest capacity: Around 3,215 guests at double occupancy
• Staterooms: 1,646 total, across 35 grades and 18 suite categories, including the fleet’s first-ever 3-bedroom suites
• Decks: 20 total, with 9 holding passenger cabins
• Registry: Nassau, Bahamas

Prima-class ships were designed with a different philosophy than NCL’s larger Breakaway-class megaships: more outdoor deck space per passenger, a doubled-up “Ocean Boulevard” promenade wrapping the ship, and an emphasis on smaller, more intimate venues instead of one giant central atrium.

• The go-kart track, where we hop in and take a few laps around the multi-level circuit
• The ship’s infinity pools and public deck spaces spread across multiple levels
• The Mandara Spa, the largest spa at sea
• The Observation Lounge and Prima Theater
• Every restaurant on board, including Hudson’s, The Commodore Room, Cagney’s Steakhouse, Hasuki Teppanyaki, The Local, and Le Bistro
• One of the prettiest spaces we’ve seen on any Norwegian ship
