We sailed Norwegian Aqua just weeks after her launch. During our sailing, we ate a lot of food. In fact, we ate at every included restaurant on the ship. We’ve also dined at every single one of Norwegian Aqua’s specialty restaurants – including the brand-new Sukhothai. That’s why we’ve put together the Ultimate Norwegian Aqua Food Guide: Menus, Photos, and Reviews – to help you prioritize where you want to eat on your next Norwegian Aqua cruise!
Norwegian Aqua Included Food
Norwegian Aqua has so many places to dine! Even if you don’t purchase the cruise line’s popular More at Sea dining plan, you won’t get bored with the food across your sailing. The included food options on Norwegian Aqua match those of her sisters Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva:
- The Commodore Room (main dining room)
- Hudson’s (main dining room)
- Indulge Food Hall (seven different restaurants)
- The Local (24/7 food option)
- Surfside Café (buffet)
- Surfside Grill (burgers and hot dogs)
- Observation Lounge (snacks)
We cover each of these restaurants and food venues in greater detail below. We share the menus, provide photos of all the food, and give advice on what to order and what to skip. Check out our Included Food on Norwegian Aqua video for more.
Norwegian Aqua Specialty Dining
For cruisers who choose the More at Sea dining option, bookings come with a set number of specialty restaurant dinners. If a cruiser would like more outside of the package, they can pay the cover charge to dine. If a cruiser doesn’t purchase More at Sea dining, they can still pay the cover charge to dine. That is, as long as the restaurant has availability.
Norwegian Aqua has eight specialty restaurants on board. We’ve had the opportunity to try each one – multiple times – across our Norwegian Cruise Line sailings.
- Sukhothai (Thai)
- Palomar (Mediterranean/Seafood)
- Le Bistro (French)
- Los Lobos (Mexican)
- Onda by Scarpetta (Italian)
- Cagney’s Steakhouse (American)
- Nama Sushi & Sashimi (Asian/Seafood)
- Hasuki (Teppanyaki)
During our time on Aqua, we ate at the brand-new, exclusive-to-Aqua, Sukhothai. It’s Norwegian’s first Thai restaurant at sea and it delivered in a big way. We also ate dinner at Los Lobos and Nama Sushi & Sashimi.
We share everything you need to know about each specialty restaurant on board in our Norwegian Aqua Specialty Dining video. Like our Included Dining video, we share menus and photos of the food. We also share cover charge information for each of the specialty restaurants on board.
If you have questions about what’s included in your More at Sea dining package, we cover all of the fine print in our Comprehensive Guide to More at Sea.
Norwegian Aqua Delivers
We loved our time on board Norwegian Aqua. In fact, it quickly became one of our favorite ships. Great food, amazing shows and entertainment, and an elevated design are just some of the things we fell in love with.
We hope that you enjoy dining with us across both the included restaurants on Norwegian Aqua as well as the specialty restaurants. If you have any questions, or need help deciding what to eat, let us know in the comments below.
