You’ve booked your amazing travel and are excited to take a break from reality, but then the unexpected happens and you have to cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances. Are you covered? With the right travel insurance, you can be.
Cruise lines offer their own version of travel insurance, and in many cases, they’ve partnered with one of the companies below, however their version of travel insurance often focuses mainly on the cruise fare, and rarely will cover the round trip airfare, pre-/post-cruise hotel, rental cars, etc. This is where a third party travel insurance company comes to the rescue. Prices are competitive and can be quite reasonable when you look at the coverages!
There are two options to choose from: Per Trip or an Annual Plan. Review the options below to determine which policy is going to be right for you!
Per Trip
I plan to take 1-2 trips/year
- Purchase soon after your trip is deposited
- Only pay for coverage when you need it
- Less expensive than annual plan
Allianz Insurance (see below)
Annual Plan
I plan to take 3 or more trips/year
- Purchase soon after your trip is deposited
- Covers all travel for 365 days
- Peace of mind; purchase once to cover all travel
Allianz Insurance (see below)
One more option that can be manually built is with Allianz. At this time, a self-quotation is not available. Allianz offers single-trip and annual policies. If interested in a policy with Allianz, please reach out.
I’m a travel advisor, not an insurance agent. Coverage, exclusions, and prices vary by policy and state, so read the policy terms before you buy. Some links on this page are partner links, and I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
